Happy Full Moon!

Greetings!

Today, we have the full moon, with the sun in the mutable fire sign Sagittarius and the moon in the mutable air sign Gemini. Mars is a major player as well, as it is conjunct, or blended with, the sun in Sagittarius. All three of these, the sun, the moon, and Mars, are all in the early degrees of their respective signs, which means all of them are interacting in a challenging way with Saturn in the mutable water sign of Pisces. Together, these challenging interactions form a T-Square aspect pattern. Essentially, this tells us that right now may be a challenging time for many people. Many of the challenges may have to do with emotions, while in other cases the challenges may have to do with spirituality, religion, and personal beliefs. Both the sun and Mars are known as fiery planets, and they are located in a fire sign, which means they are the heaviest of the three points involved in the T-Square. When we think about this, we realize that this means many people are fighting internal battles that we don’t know about. Compassion is the vice of kings, as the good book says.

The dwarf planet Chiron is currently retrograde in the cardinal fire sign Aries, along with the North Node of the Moon, which is also retrograde. Chiron has been making a long trek through Aries, and this has been a journey of internal realizations and developments. Humility, pride, and power are all major themes that are associated with this transit. This Aries activity tells us that now is the time to develop humility in order to grow as a person. Integrating lessons and approaching life from a humbler perspective would be wise. It would also be wise to understand and develop the ability to go with the flow of life. This is a by-product of Saturn in Pisces. Pisces is the fish, and swimming through the ocean is a common symbol associated with it. Aries is known for their stubbornness, so by finding the balance between being stubborn and knowing when to go with the flow is a major developmental point to achieve.

Between now and the next full moon, which is on December 26, Mercury will retrograde, but only three other planets will be, too. For context, there are currently five planets retrograde, so while Mercury is retrograde, it will be a diminishment of where we are now. This means that we are coming into a month where it will be more about external engagement and interactions with the outside world. There will be less emphasis on internal changes and development. And, as if right on cue, the Mercury retrograde in December is an excellent time to wrap up any end-of-year projects and paperwork that need doing. And don’t worry, if you can’t think of any, some will make their presence known soon enough. Mwahahaha

One of the things you can do to help yourself for the upcoming month (based from this full moon to the one in December, and not a calendar month) is to make a list of all the things you want to accomplish by the calendar year’s end. I am not talking about fun projects, such as decorating for the holidays. Instead, I am talking about necessary and probably boring paperwork-related work. I know, I know, but the clock’s ticking, and by harmonizing your boring administrative work with your work for fun and festivities, you may find a deeper connection to the essence of the season.

Namaste,
