Greetings!
Today is quite the active day, as we have the first full moon of the calendar year, with the Sun in Capricorn and the Moon in Cancer. We also have a Lunar Eclipse and Uranus finishing stationing direct in Taurus! Damn, talk about intense and potentially unexpected! Let’s take a closer look at things to see how to navigate this intense, transformative time.
I’m pretty sure that if you’re reading this, you already know what the full moon brings. So much research has been done over the years regarding the effect of the full moon that I see no reason to go into it here. There are a few things though, that I would like to mention. First of which is the esoteric astrology side of it. In esoteric astrology, it is said that the soul enters a new cycle of spiritual growth through the sign of Cancer and exits through the sign of Capricorn. Right now the Moon and the North Node of the Moon are in Cancer, in tense opposition to the Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, and Ceres all in Capricorn. All of these relationships tell us now is a fantastic time to exit whatever stage of spiritual development you are on, and to ascend to a higher level, namely one that is more in line with Capricorn energy, specifically focused on long term foundation and success.
It is time to let go of all things Cancerian, and to leave your comfort zone. While Cancer is a great sign for nurturing, the intuition, and all things related to the home, it can become toxic. After all, almost no growth happens inside your comfort zone, so if you are addicted to comfort, it will ultimately stagnate you and bring changes to you, denying you the chance to create the change yourself. Although, this is great for those that enjoy playing the “woe is me” victim card… Just remember, life, the universe, and everything doesn’t owe you shit.
In contrast, Capricorn is the sign of the career, occupation, overall direction of life, and mature handling of emotions. It is this last point that turns many people off of this sign, because strong Capricorn energy can shut off emotions very easily, much to the dismay of those that barely have any emotional control. Sometimes people with strong Capricorn energy can be too cold, much like people with strong Cancer energy can be too emotional. Every sign has issues like this, but those are conversations for another time. In a lot of ways the message of this full moon is “buckle up, bitches. Change isn’t going to simply happen (unless its entropic), so if you want change, take matters into your own hands. No more whining about the wrongs of the world. Do something about it or STFU.”
Yes, I know it sounds cold, but that’s part of Capricorn energy: maturity. What is your tipping point? When do you say you’ve had enough, and are going to do something about it, rather than just sit online complaining? Why do I mention being online? That, my friends, has to do with another piece of the puzzle today, Uranus stationing direct. Uranus is the planet of mass communication and rebellion, but it is also the planet of the Internet and the World Wide Web. Also included in its correspondences is chaos and the consciousness of the ascended self. The unexpected may be the norm today, but on a positive note, connecting with your ascended self is something that may come easier, too, putting you in a position to realize your Will a little bit more than usual.
Also of note is that in a lot of ways, this full moon is indicative of the inner struggle between father and mother energy. This is a great time to bring them back into harmony within yourself, in whatever way is best and healthiest for you. No, you may not like facing those things, but they are being brought up to face none the less, so you can either run from this, retreating into the river of denial, or face up and make your stand.
This interplay between Cancer and Capricorn will continue for the next few months as I discussed in my recent Sivana East article (found here: https://blog.sivanaspirit.com/2020-vision/), but today is the day of taking control of your transformation, and the rest of the time will be predicated on putting it into action and adapting.
Another facet to consider is the fact that Cancer often times corresponds to the home (microcosm), while Capricorn corresponds to the career (macrocosm), reminding us it is time to step out on the stage of life, and unveil ourselves to the greater world at large we all chose to be a part of during this incarnation. Anyone can retreat from the world into the home, but this is a short term solution, and now the message is clear: either do a one-eighty and fully come out of the home, or find a healthy middle ground between the home and the career, the private and the public. The choice is yours, as it always has been.
Finally, Capricorn is also the sign of long-standing social institutions, and with Pluto, Saturn, and Jupiter moving through there, things have been profoundly changing over the last several years. Even though the changes aren’t done yet, they are occurring, which puts more emphasis on what we have been discussing previously: if you’re not part of the solution, you are part of the problem, so where do you stand?
So, your homework is to study these two signs, see where they are out of balance within yourself, and begin over the next six months to bring them back into harmony internally and externally, remembering all the while that if you want something, take it, it won’t be given to you.
Blessings,
