Happy Full Moon Capricorn!

Greetings!
Today we have the Full Moon with the Sun in Capricorn and the Moon in Cancer. The Moon is in tense opposition to the Sun Mercury conjunction in Capricorn, telling us that communicating your emotions may not be easily done right now, and that is okay. These planets are also forming a challenging square to Chiron in Aries, which forms the aspect pattern known as a Cardinal sign T-Square. In short, this means wounds will most likely be triggered around this time. These will be wounds that have to do with your willpower, sense of self, and how that conflicts with your emotions and overall growth and maturity. And oh yeah, there’s the remains of the Grand Conjunction, too, but that really doesn’t have much impact on this full moon, contrary to amateur astrologers on the internet.

*Gasp,* gee Bill, how can you say such things? Well, facts are facts. We just had the Grand Conjunction in the early degrees of Aquarius, and while that will play a large role over the next year, right now, we are still at that point where it is time to address some of what is held over from 2020. In short, anything left undone, unhealed, or un-addressed, should be dealt with now, before the new year begins. If you are unsure what is left to deal with, pay attention today and over the course of the next couple of days, as this Full Moon will trigger these wounds to come to the surface. But when they do, it would be unwise to turn a blind eye to them and live in denial. In a broad sense, this is the final segment of the shadow work that has been going on in earnest over the last four years. While this really doesn’t do much for what is coming up (other than give us an opportunity to heal), it does a lot for us because it reveals what we still might need to address.

If you are a Libra, this may be more challenging of a time than for other signs, but don’t worry, Aries, Capricorns, and Cancers, may all be feeling this one a little more than others as well, so you’re not facing this alone. The key thing to keep in mind during this time is that this is a period of wounds being brought to the surface so they can be healed. This means that if you have already been doing the healing journey, this should not really be that bad if you have been honest with yourself. But if you have been living in denial about your wounds, their sources, and your healing, then this full moon may just be a real eye-opener.

Besides the triggered wounds and the healing journey, this is a full moon of endings and of transitions. Most of the activity next year will be the element of air, so it will address logic, reason, rationale, intelligence, and all things related to the mind, but before that happens, a system check of sorts needs to occur, and that is exactly what this full moon is. This full moon may bring more opportunities for maturity, too, as you may find it is time to focus on where you are going and how you are going to get there. “Killing the father to become the father” is a phrase that sums it up. I really hope I don’t have to explain that more than just to say this is NOT a literal killing! But, who knows, in this day and age? If you are unfamiliar with this, I encourage you to check it out. Here is a good starting point. Briefly, this full moon is all about stepping up and changing what is needed to get what you want. Or conversely, you can change what you want to reflect where you are, and your motivations.

So, during this time, I encourage you to reflect on where you are and where you want to go. I also encourage you to do a system check on yourself and your healing journey. If the check is good and you know who you are, where you’re going, and how you will get there, then this full moon may bring you opportunities to help those around you that are less fortunate, don’t know what they want, or are unwilling to change and grow to achieve success. We are all in this together.

Blessings,

Bill
