Greetings!
Today we have the full moon Gemini, with the moon itself in Sagittarius. It also happens to be an eclipse, with a supermoon, and right before Mercury retrogrades, so needless to say, this is quite an intense time! In addition to these factors, both luminaries are forming a challenging T-Square aspect to Jupiter’s new position in Pisces, making the overall theme of this time that of the “Risen Christ,” to borrow a phrase from esoterica. I realize this might not be a term that many are familiar with or comfortable with, but it is an idea to consider at the moment.
First, the basics. A T-Square is an aspect pattern that is full of friction and challenges, and as mentioned above, this one is occurring between the Sun, Moon, and Jupiter. Jupiter is the planet of expansion, but also spirituality, and the Sun and Moon represent our inherent masculine and feminine sides. A T-Square comes along and shakes things up, much like when we shake a snowglobe. The difference is though, that in this case, we are in the snowglobe, and it is the solar system that is doing the shaking. Some may call these problems, and they very well may be, but others would call them opportunities, another term that could be accurate, too. Regardless, these things are meant to shake us up. They are meant to agitate us, and to get us to look in different directions and from different views. If you handle stress and unexpected situations, then you already know what is going on, and how to respond to it. If you cannot handle such things though, this may be a time of trials and difficulty. Even though people with a lot of placements in mutable signs (Pisces, Gemini, Virgo, and Sagittarius) are feeling this harder than most people right now, those Virgos born in late August may be feeling it the most and the worst, because they are receiving the energies amplified.
Now that we have established what is going on, let’s turn our attention to what you can do about it. As stated above, this aspect pattern is known as that of the “Risen Christ.” This is an idea that is more than just Christianity. It addresses the archetype of the Christ, and this archetype can be found in many world religions. This has been studied for at least the last century, and there is plenty of information out there for those that are interested. The formula of the living, dying, and resurrected god can be a powerful formula to align with, and that is the true essence of this Full Moon.
Let the challenges and opportunities come up. After all, they are going to, anyway, so there is no time like the present. But before you respond to them, breathe, and focus on one particular detail: When addressing these things, consider how you can rebirth from them. Many people think that when problems come up, all you have to do is lower your head and charge through them, but many times, that is the worst decision that can be made. Sometimes the wisest course of action is to transform and align with whatever is coming up. This is the “Risen” part of the formula. after all, it is not the strongest that survives, it is the one that is most susceptible to change, meaning adaptation and evolution. As things come up over the next few weeks, see if there is a part of you that needs to die in order to evolve, and when you get the answer to that, address it. Even if you disagree with me on this, still consider things before responding. We are almost halfway through 2021, so there is still a lot of the year in front of us, and working with the energies of this full moon can help transform you in time to maximize what you get out of the rest of the year. At this point, I should mention keeping in mind that the transformation we are discussing is only in certain areas of your life, namely those that are addressed during this time. And really, after the last year, couldn’t we all use some transformation of some type or another? No one has gotten through the last year without being marked in some way, so it stands to reason that now is the time to be proactive with continued transformation.
The “Christ” part of the conversation is a little easier to discuss. The term “Christ” comes to us from Greek, and means “Anointed.” So technically, anyone that has been anointed in any spiritual tradition, is Christed, from a linguistic sense. We all know that there are more details to it than this, but from a strictly linguistic perspective, this is true. For our purposes here, we will be working with this definition, since it is in line with the language. Let’s hook these two together then, to clarify. “Risen Christ” simply means to enact the next stage of your life, death, rebirth process, and if you’re not sure where in your life that should occur, it should become clear in the next week or two. The “Christ” part of the term is simply a reminder to you and everyone reading this that we are all anointed, whether through our own spiritual lineages, or our own connection with divinity. If you don’t feel comfortable with the term “Christ,” then by all means leave it out of your transformational process. You can be risen by yourself, regardless of whether or not you connect with that term.
Now is the time to focus on shifting perspectives and spirituality. Now is the time to see where to go from here. After all, to quote Jim Morrison, “No one here gets out alive,” and to quote my dear friend Deborah, “That which dies can be resurrected, but that which is changed is changed forever.” Read your life like a book during this time, and respond accordingly for the greatest growth and good of you and those that you know. Let the situations come up. Step back, look at them, and think about them. Then, when you feel ready and it is appropriate, take forward steps.
Namaste,
