Greetings!
Today we have the full moon in Aquarius in February, and from a native perspective, this is the full snow moon. Traditionally, this is the time that snow fell the hardest, and thus life in general became harder to deal with. Is there enough food until spring? Is there enough heat? Related concepts also got called into question, and due to this, things were generally more challenging overall. Astrologically, this is the time of the heart of Aquarius, when things are at their coldest.
Metaphorically, this is quite a profound moon, as it reminds us that as we move through life, sometimes things can get cold and bleak, but this, too, shall pass. While we may have questions and doubts about how we can make things last, the fact of the matter remains that we are still alive and aware enough of what we have, especially when it comes to our necessities, so it is wise to count our blessings. When we shift our perspective, it is easy to fall into the concept of gratitude, and as has been said before, “an attitude of gratitude is a beatitude.”
Let’s face facts: In most places things are at their coldest and most lifeless right now, unless you live below the equator, so it is wise to be conservative overall, and to make every little resource count. It’s also a good time to reassess where we’ve been and where we’re going. This can be quite eye opening if we let the facts speak for themselves, and interpret them, rather than seeing what we want to see. In a lot of ways, this is a reality check, but a good one at that.
I encourage you to count your blessings and to take stock in what you have. By doing this, we want what we already have, and the road is paved for a higher vibrational life, now and going forward.
Blessings,
Bill
