Happy Full Moon Taurus-Wesak!

Greetings!

Today/Last night, depending on where you are in the world, was the full super moon, with the Sun in Taurus and the Moon in the opposite sign of Scorpio, and it was also a lunar eclipse. This full moon is also known as the “Flower Moon,” and Wesak, which celebrates the birth of Buddha. It also happens to be a Mercury retrograde, did I mention that? To say that this full moon is impacting is an understatement!

Fixed signs in particular (Scorpio, Taurus, Leo, and Aquarius) may all be getting hit pretty hard with it, as are Virgos because their ruling planet is Mercury, which is retrograde. Interestingly enough, Aries may be feeling the burn of this blood-red moon, too, as the planet of the wound and healing, Chiron, is in their sign, blended with Venus, and while this may not be as powerful of an effect as what the fixed signs are feeling, it is something to note for those born under the sign of the ram.

Playing a subtle but important role in all of this is the North Node of the Moon, which is currently conjunct with the Sun in Taurus. The North Node of the Moon indicates where we can grow, spiritually speaking, and how. This also means that its opposite point, the South Node of the Moon, is in Scorpio, conjunct to the Moon. When you have the Sun and Moon blended with the nodes, it tells us that now is a pivotal time to let go of the old and incorporate the new.

Mars and Neptune are also conjunct in Pisces, telling us the impulse may be present to explore the spiritual and creative but beware, because the desire for escapism may also be extra strong.

So, yeah, wow, what an intense and crazy time! Let’s discuss that for a moment. In short, this is a time of transitioning into a new state of being by letting go of the old. We can find a helpful approach by reflecting on Buddhism and its teachings, and for those of you that do any sort of channeling or mediumship work, or really any spirit work in general, you may experience success when contacting the spirit of Buddha, Buddhism, and really detachment teachings in general.

As they say, many times the only way out is through, and this is a powerful reminder that this, too, shall pass. This is a helpful piece of wisdom to keep in mind to keep the Mars Neptune conjunction in Pisces in check, and working for you by guiding you to experience the spiritual and creative in positive ways rather than destructive ways. The signs I mentioned above (Taurus, Scorpio, Aquarius, Leo, Virgo, Aries, and Gemini) are getting hit the hardest, but if you are a sign that is not listed, you are probably being affected too, at least in certain areas in your life, and even if you personally are not, you are probably around people that are getting hit hard, so yes, you will have to deal with it in that way.

Using the wisdom of the Buddha and your own spiritual and creative drives, you may find your path through this intense and interesting time is a little easier than most. By letting go of things that no longer serve you, you put yourself in a position to embrace the new, and what kind of new things can come to your door is based on where Taurus is in your astrological chart. If you don’t have your chart, that is okay, because you will know where Taurus is in your chart by whatever area of life gets impacted the most over the next two weeks or so. Consequences may ripple out farther than the next two weeks, but by the end of the month, you may have a good idea of what you will have to do to get success where and when you want it.

The flower moon moniker of the month tells us that it is wise to remember that in the northern hemisphere, it is spring, meaning it is time to plant your seeds of intention for the upcoming astrological year that will continue until March 2023. If you are in the southern hemisphere, this is autumn, a time of counting your seeds for next year, as well as evaluating how your seeds that were planted earlier this astrological year have manifested.

If you can, check out pictures online of the eclipse. It was quite beautiful to watch! I saw it here in St Louis MO and it was absolutely blood-red with hints of orange beautiful! Transform, chrysalis, transform!

Blessings,
