Happy Full Moon!

Greetings!

Today we have the full moon, with the moon in the cardinal air sign of Libra, and the sun in the cardinal fire sign Aries. Even though we immediately see that fire and air are the tempi, the really intriguing story is what is happening (or not, depending on your chart) in the mutable water sign of Pisces. Get cozy, because this blog will be opinionated because I have seen so much written about this particular celestial event that it has spurred my mind into action processing what exactly this transit means, and to who.

First, if you see information on the Internet saying that this is a time of love and light, etc, just, well, just ignore it. Really. This time is not any better than almost any other time, and anyone that says otherwise should be put under the microscope of critical thinking. If you are someone with heavy Pisces, Virgo, Gemini, or Sagittarius in their chart, then you know what I’m talking about. These times are rough! There is simply a heavy astrological transit that is hitting you in challenging ways, particularly when it comes to your spirituality, emotions, and how you cope with daily life.

BUT, if you are someone with heavy Taurus in their chart, this is a time for profound physical manifestations of projects you are heavily emotionally invested in, so this is a very busy, fortuitous time if you take the initiative. If you have heavy Capricorn in your chart, you may be currently a two-edged sword. On one hand, like Taurus’, this is a great time for physical manifestations on projects that you are emotionally invested in, but the current sun and moon placements are not resonating well with said Capricorn placements, so this could also be a time of irritations, problems, challenges, and setbacks. In other words, you may be manifesting just fine right now, but at what cost? Will it be worth it, or will it be a pyrrhic victory?

If you have heavy Libra in your chart, this could be an interesting time, too, because of the sun and the moon, the moon swaying you towards the emotional side of looking at things, but the sun encouraging you to take action on what your intuition is telling you. Your spirituality may be calling for some adjustments, too, as you may find it is time to grow and change, stepping into a new state of being. If you don’t make the changes, you may discover the irritation continues until you do.

Aquarian heavy people are sitting kind of pretty right now, with strong, positive interactions with the sun and moon, but challenges are present when it comes to daily communication. Yep, you read that right. That is about the only challenge Aquarian individuals have right now, putting them in a good spot overall, especially remembering that this transit will pass quickly.

People with heavy Aries in their charts have been going through the transformation process for so long now, may have their hands full with emotional and personal relationship tensions, but when you put that into the context of what has been going on for the last few years, this really isn’t that big of a deal, especially considering this will be short-lived.

Individuals with strong Leo in their charts may be sitting in a position similar to Aquarius, in that this full moon is a nicely flowing, good time overall. Communication challenges may be there, like Aquarians, but also like the energy bearers, these will be short-lived.

People with strong Cancer in their chart may be having an interesting time of it, which is also true for those with heavy Scorpio in their chart. For the Cancerians, we see that there may be internal tensions right now because of the interaction with this full moon on their placements, but if you remove that from the equation, now is a time of increased creativity, an improved intuition, and a draw to the spiritual side of life. In contrast, people with heavy Scorpio in their chart are more or less in the same boat, but the stark difference is that they may be having communication challenges similar to Leos, whereas Cancerians are not.

There ya go. For some, it truly is a time of love and light, but for others, nah, it kind of sucks. Everything is context, a valuable point to keep in mind when reading pop pedestrian astrology. “Why does this matter,” you may be asking yourself, so let’s bring things to a close. The reason it matters is that in several days, Pluto begins to station retrograde, and thus we find ourselves at the close of a period of time that is all about forward momentum and forward progress. This full moon is the perfect, eleventh hour time to set your intentions for the year, as well as move ahead with manifesting your will into daily life. Whatever high astrological sign concentration you have can give you insight into the direction and protocol to use to achieve success, and should serve to clarify anything that seems ambiguous to you (Thanks, Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces, for making things more ambiguous than they already were, by the way). Yes, Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces is a rare occurrence, and yes, this is a profound time of spiritual growth, but we see above that sometimes to be elevated means to get your hands dirty with your shadow and do what needs to be done. And if that doesn’t line up with pedestrian writings you see on the World Wide Web about astrology, then so be it. You have once again achieved the goal of knowing what you want by experiencing what you don’t want!

Steps off the soapbox, hoping that all of this clarifies what is going on right now. Could be positive. Could be challenging. It depends on you, like it always does.

Namaste,
