Happy Full Moon!

Greetings!

Today, we have the full moon, with the sun in the fixed air sign Aquarius and the moon in the fixed fire sign Leo. Both of these are part of a fixed sign T-Square present at the time, with the third leg being Jupiter in Taurus. A T-Square is a stressful, pressurizing aspect pattern that tells us this time is full of challenges and growth opportunities, which we see playing out in the world around us. Currently, the national and international landscapes reflect these challenges in various ways. A good way to handle this stressful time is through consistency, discipline, and having a belief in something greater than yourself. This pattern is called the Cross of the Disciple, and what it tells us is that now is the time to be a disciple of something or someone. Personally, I prefer being a disciple to something rather than someone, but that’s just me.

Another similar aspect present is a square between Mars conjunct Mercury in Capricorn and Chiron with the North Node of the Moon in Aries. This tells us that right now, there may be challenges that have to do with communication and ambition in your career and overall direction in life vs. internal psychological wounds we have to overcome to achieve success. A square is full of challenges and growth opportunities, but it is not as intense as a T-Square. So, the short of it is that there are challenges in many places, and these challenges fluctuate between staying the course vs. evolving and moving forward. This last point is something that many people struggle with, especially when evolution does not match up with their deep-rooted, outdated beliefs. I see it all the time on social media, the constant conflict between the same old, same old, and embracing the new. It’s really not that hard to deal with, but people stuck in the past are having a hard time with this and are showing their asses in the process.

Against this tense backdrop, we have something that is getting more coverage than it really should, and that is the ingress of Pluto into the fixed air sign Aquarius. Let’s start with the basics: this is NOT the Age of Aquarius. Nope. This isn’t even the beginning of the Age of Aquarius. But yes, this is another step in that direction, so if you hear or see people spewing this, then know you are smarter than them. This is more than just my opinion. Great astrologers of the past, like Cyril Fagan, have discussed this in-depth and have outlined timelines and timeframes. All it takes to know this is not the Age of Aquarius is a little study of astrological history and the ability to perceive what is happening in the world around you. If you believe the hippies about the Age of Aquarius, it is some utopian time that is coming, and I know from observation and personal experience there is no utopia present, nor is there one coming in the near future. It is possible to have that utopia, but a LOT of things need to change and die before then, and we aren’t even close to addressing those large problems. I hope this paragraph illustrates the necessity of common sense and pragmatism.

Pluto is the planet of deep-rooted transformation and change. It is also the planet of violence, which we do have in unfortunate abundance right now. Pluto corresponds to the underworld, which contains treasures, but you have to dig down deep to secure these treasures. They do not flow to you. You dig them out. The troublemaker in the relationship is Aquarius. Aquarius is the sign of humanitarian endeavors, large groups of people, society in general, small groups of people that govern larger groups of people, science, technology, technological innovations, rebellion, individuality, eccentricity, uniqueness, and self-expression. It’s the rebellion point that is the most at work in the world right now. Before you can have a utopia, you have to go through a bloody birth, a point generally glossed over by people. Look at your country’s social issues for examples as to how Pluto in Aquarius is playing out right now. By the way, Capricorn, the sign Pluto is moving out of, represents authority and tradition, whereas Aquarius represents rebelliousness but also embracing the new and the importance of self-expression.

I am enjoying a good laugh as well because this is not the first time Pluto has been in Aquarius in recent memory, but I see that fact being neglected. Pluto entered into Aquarius March 24, 2023, almost a year ago, and was in Aquarius until June 12, 2023. Then, through retrograde, it went back into Capricorn and did not re-enter Aquarius until January 22 this year, a few days ago. Pluto will stay in Aquarius until September 3, when it will retrograde back into Capricorn and will not re-enter Aquarius until November 20 of this year. The ingress in November is the big one, because that is when Pluto enters into Aquarius and does not retrograde back into Capricorn, so Pluto will stay in Aquarius from November 20 this year until March 10 2043, so just shy of twenty years. What this means is that the hype for the current time is overblown and rooted in the ignorance that comes from reading pop culture rather than quality sources.

All of this is true in the tropical zodiac which is the dominant type of astrology in the world, but especially in the western world, today. I mention this because there is another type of astrology called Sidereal astrology, and in that system, Pluto does not enter Aquarius until March 6, 2039. I share this so that if you see people mentioning this, you have a superficial understanding of what they’re talking about. They’re not wrong when they say that, they are just using a secondary astrological system (secondary regarding popularity, accessibility, and mass culture consumption).

For those of you that work with them, the Sabian symbol for where Pluto is located right now is “An old adobe mission.” From the astrologer who revealed this information, Dr Marc Edmund Jones, “This is a symbol of everlasting sustainment, and of the necessity for both an overall orientation and an underlying stability in all personal existence.” (Sabian Symbols in Astrology, Dr Marc Edmund Jones, 1953) Ponder this symbolism and see how it is playing out in the world today. For example, when it comes to women’s rights, especially in the USA, what is being worked on right now is everlasting sustainment when it comes to equal rights under law that have to do with bodily authority. By achieving this, they are cultivating orientation and stability in all personal existence.

The first decanate of Aquarius, which is where Pluto is currently located, is ruled by Saturn or Uranus, depending on other factors. What we are witnessing in the world today is definitely Uranian, but Saturn is currently making waves in Pisces, too, so it is very much active as well. As Pluto moves further into Aquarius, these influences will fade and be replaced with new events that align with the next decanate’s ruler, Mercury. That is where the fun starts.

So, stay alert my friends. This is not as auspicious of a time as people are making it out to be, but something else is very auspicious, which is that we recently just had the Pluto return of the USA. This only happens approximately every 248 years, and usually denotes defining moments in the nation’s development. I won’t get too deep into that here, but I do want to point one thing out. Just like you can cast a solar return chart to get a preview for your upcoming year, you can cast a return chart for any planet in a chart, and that chart tells you what to expect until the next return. So, for those of you that want to know what to expect for the USA over the next 248 years, the ascendant is in Aquarius in the United State’s natal chart, and it lands in the second house, which is the house of money and values. And oh, it is also conjunct Pluto, Venus, and Mercury, all in Capricorn. I leave you to interpret this as you will, but it does tell us that the next 248 are going to majorly deal with money, resources, power, authority vs openness, evolution, and yes, unfortunately, probably violence. I hope I’m wrong about that, though. And just to note, the chart I used for the USA was not the popular Sibley chart which most people know and love. Rather, it was a chart set up for July 2, 1776 instead of the 4th because of the information revealed in the biography of John Adams that came out a few years ago. July 2nd seems to be more accurate according to historical documents. I share this because if your results differ from mine, this is probably why.

I know this is longer than normal but I wanted to clarify what is going on with Pluto. Pluto in Aquarius is the backdrop against which this Wolf Moon is playing out. Finding the harmony between the self and society is key right now, as is understanding how this moment fits in with the overall trajectory. Until next we chat, may we all receive blessings of good health, prosperity, and success!

Namaste,
