Happy Full Moon Aries!

Greetings,

Today marks the first full moon of the new astrological year. Today we have the Sun in Aries, and the Moon in Libra. Here’s a little known fact: The Christian holy day of Easter is astrologically timed. What greater validation is there for the existence and acceptance of astrology in the Christian paradigm?

In brief, here is how it works: The first Sunday after the first full moon after Spring Equinox is the formula to be used when determining Easter every year. So why does this matter? This matters because the formula itself is profound in its simplicity, and is very revealing of an esoteric truth. The easiest way to think of this is to think about the seasons. Everything is cyclical. Nature and the universal laws that exist in creation are mostly predicated around responsibility, and the life death rebirth cycle. So to begin with, you have the Spring Equinox, which is the beginning of the new astrological year, every year. Then you have the full moon, which is the first full moon of the astrological year, every year. Then, the first Sunday after that, you have a Christian holy day whose theme is rebirth. Which, of course, just occurred at the Spring Equinox. The esoteric truth that is being continued with this holy day is that everything that dies can be reborn. Everything that is born will die, only to return again in a higher vibrational form.

At the time of the full moon in Aries, it is very worth considering what is dead within us, what can be resurrected within us, and whether or not we have control over these things. In fact, to a certain extent, we have control over everything that occurs in our life. But the serenity prayer is perhaps the most wise to remember at this time, as its implied discernment and discretion skills can be of the highest value when we assess our lives, and look at performing the alchemical principle of turn lead into gold.

“God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.”

–Reinhold Niebuhr

This is the first paragraph of the serenity prayer, and by meditating on it, we draw our attention and our awareness to clarity, discernment, and ultimate empowerment.

Peace,

Bill
