Happy Leo Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse!

Greetings!
A few hours ago we had the full moon in Leo, and it happened to be a lunar eclipse! While the Sun is in Leo, the Moon is in Aquarius, and the lunar eclipse had its own influence as well, so let’s break all of these factors down. To begin with, Leo is a fixed fire sign that is highly creative, optimistic, and energetic. Aquarius is a fixed air sign that is the energy of groups and social circles. One way to look at this dichotomy is that Leo knows what to do for what’s best for the self, while Aquarius knows what to do for what’s best for everyone. However, what makes this full moon interesting is that there is a lot of focus on the sign Virgo, which is a mutable earth sign that has to do with the day to day work routine, natural magick, health, and critical thinking. Another facet to this auspicious time is that there is an aspect pattern called a “Yod” (also known by other names), which is profound, if activated. A Yod is known as basically, potentially divine intervention, but it only works if you do the work to put you in a position to maximize the effects.

So what’s the key concept here to focus on? Yep, you got it: work. On one hand, the point of the eclipse is to find the middle ground between doing what’s best for you and what’s best for others. This is the concept of the oxygen mask on an airplane: you put the mask on you first before helping others. However, there are limits to how much you should focus on yourself. If you focus on yourself too much, then you become ego centered and arrogant, which is highly damaging. The effect of the eclipse is the next piece of the puzzle to know. The lunar nature of the eclipse tells us the effects of said eclipse will be internal in manifestation over the next few months, so watch for internal changes based around the concept of helping others vs helping yourself.

Regarding the Yod and the sign Virgo, though, this is something different all together. This is telling us that now is the time to work! Good things happening to you generally don’t happen in a vacuum, and as has been said many times: If you want to win at something, you have to put yourself in a position to win. Hence the Yod is triggered in direct proportion to the amount of work you’ve done. Since Virgo is a hard working sign, the energy is now present to move forward (especially since Saturn is now direct) in a clearly thought out way.

On a more metaphysical level, this is the perfect time to find harmony between the self and the other. This is also the perfect time to re-evaluate what you’ve done vs the success its brought to prepare for the upcoming harvest season. While it may be almost too late to do much with it this year, this is the perfect time to look ahead to next year. This also means this is the perfect time to restart routines that have fallen by the wayside, and to wrap up projects that are still outstanding. The second eclipse is a couple of weeks away, so you have this window to organize, prioritize, and get the lead out! Well, at least that’s what I’m doing in my world, as I’m sure you’re aware with all of the upcoming travel and book releases.

Blessings~
