Happy Full Moon Sagittarius

“Si vis pacem, para bellum”~Latin Adage, which roughly translates to “If you wish for peace, prepare for war.”

Greetings!

Today is the day of the full moon, with the Sun in Sagittarius, and the Moon in the opposite sign of Gemini. Thus we have mutable fire and mutable air. There’s a lot of flux in the air right now. There is a lot that is happening, whether we see it or not, and because of this, it is on us to stay extra sharp. It is also worth remembering that there is a lunar eclipse as well. Therefore we have enhanced but distorted emphasis on all things related to this idea. Besides the obvious astrological thought of “where does it fall in my chart?” there are deeper thoughts to ponder.

In esoteric astrology, both Gemini and Sagittarius are considered to be corresponded to the 4th ray, which is the ray of harmony through conflict. Often times misunderstood, this ray is a vital one to evolution. The easiest way to explain this is two fold. The first point to consider is that you can’t have an omelette without breaking an egg, so sometimes conflict is necessary in order to bring things to a higher vibrational state. The other point to consider is that of the esoteric idea of talismanic magick. This magick is simple in its essence. The basic premise of this magick is that if you prepare for the worst case scenario and eventuality, then when it doesn’t come to pass, you can count yourself blessed. Thus, like the Boy Scouts of America, you’re always prepared.

Are you prepared to the best of your abilities? And of course this addresses all of the planes: physical, emotional/astral, mental, and spiritual. At this point its necessary to point out that there is only one type of situation we can prepare for, and that is the situation that we know we don’t know. However, there are also situations that we don’t know that we don’t know, and thus preparation will always be incomplete, but complete when it comes to what our abilities can produce.

During this time, it is wise to reflect on preparations that have been made for the upcoming winter. It is also a wonderful time to reflect on what battles to choose, and when to engage them. After all, we are coming up on the holly day season, and the prevalent theme is compassion and brotherly love.

As a fun side note, this time is also excellent for reflecting on the way we speak and present ourselves. Are we in control of what we portray to others? After all, it is better to be proactive than reactive. I encourage you to consider these things in depth within yourself, and by so doing, increase your control over your inherent vibration, and the way that it manifests in your personal paradigms.

Blessings,

Bill
