Happy Full Moon Libra!

Greetings!
Today we had the full moon in Libra, with the Sun in Libra and the Moon in Aries. There is a lot happening astrologically speaking, but I don’t want to focus on the technical side of astrology, but rather I want to focus on the here and now, and things that matter to us on a personal level. Libra is the sign of healthy relationships, and Aries is the sign of the pioneer, but also the one that focuses on the self first and foremost. This isn’t a bad thing, just like focusing on relationships isn’t a bad thing either, but rather I share this information here to illustrate the opposites they embody. Libra also corresponds to justice, while Aries corresponds to living by one’s honor code.

Wow, isn’t that profound? Looking at the world around us, we can see that there are a lot of things out of balance right now, in a lot of sectors of society, and in a lot of cultures. It’s interesting to note that people are basing a lot of their perspectives on what they believe, and are thus flowing with their inherent biases. While this has been discussed in a lot of places a lot of times, it is still worth noting because it is more obvious now than it has been in the recent past. There is division present, and no matter how you slice it, it comes down to polarity. Many, many things are polarized right now, and for various reasons. As a matter of fact, that is what makes this full moon so particularly powerful and empowering.

While this full moon is being touted as the harvest moon, meaning it is a good time to count your blessings and reap your harvest, astrologically there is something else and more occurring. This is a time of profound balancing. We are approaching one of the thinnest points of the veil, when contact with the spirit world is stronger, so what we put out there into the universe at this time is extra potent. The Libra/Aries relationship tells us that it is wise to unpolarize ourselves. Yes, we should still count our blessings, but what is even more important than that right now is to find the middle ground within ourselves. After all, remember the Hermetic axiom: As above, so below, as within, so without. As we find the middle ground and depolarize ourselves, we put ourselves into a position to be a beacon of light to the world at large, in particular those we come into contact with, and I’m pretty sure, regardless of individual beliefs, we can all agree that the world needs more light.

Blessings
